Loinaz Martin, PSC is a Full Service Law firm. Our diversified practice, services local and national clients involved in business transactions and litigation in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, and other Latin markets. Our lawyers and staff provide representation at federal and Puerto Rico courts, as well as government agencies. We also assist clients in domestic and foreign negotiations and transactions, protecting clients with interests against various risks presented by the increasingly complex web of federal and local law. LM’s practice encompasses the following areas:
HEALTH LAW
The Health Law Practice Group handles various legal matters representing physicians, hospitals, health insurers, medical groups, hospices, HMO's, IPA's, PBM's, home health agencies, and managed care organizations, among others. Attorneys in our practice group assist healthcare providers with licensure applications, CONs compliance programs, managed care contract issues, local and federal regulatory matters, electronic health records, and patient privacy regulation (HIPAA and related local law). We also assist in mergers and acquisitions or joint ventures, those in need of structuring a private practice, as well as those charged with professional malpractice.
CORPORATE LAW
We apply our legal and business expertise to the complete spectrum of corporate and business needs and challenges faced today by our clients, including business organization and corporate governance, establishing operations in regional markets, and in resolving issues that arise in the course of business. Our Corporate Practice Group offers comprehensive advice and representation in substantially all major corporate practice areas. Our experience in antitrust issues and acquisitions positions our firm at the forefront of Health Law legal representatives.
LABOR LAW
We represent management in petitions for unfair labor practices, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliation against the workforce, wage and hour claims and employment related benefits cases before government agencies and courts. Our staff assists employers, union and non-union, in designing workforce reductions, reorganization of businesses, as well as compliance with labor contracts, and employment laws.
