
Ms. Heidi Miranda Broco
Legal Counsel on Labor & Healthcare Matters
Ms. Miranda counseled and represented employers in a variety of labor and employment law matters, and handled litigation in both federal and local courts, and before various administrative agencies such as the Puerto Rico Antidiscrimination Unit and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, among others. Her practice focuses on preventive counseling and litigation in diverse topics, including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, and sexual harassment. Ms. Miranda has worked on the creation, development and revision of employee handbooks, policies and workplace regulation. She also advises clients in health care matters and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as a Certified HIPAA Professional.
Prior to joining DLM, Ms. Miranda served as an external attorney on behalf the Child Support Administration (ASUME) at the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico. She also worked as an Associate Attorney in Ramos González & Toyos Olascoaga, PSC, a law firm focused on labor and employment law.
Ms. Miranda graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in 2004. In 2001 she obtained a Bachelor degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Business Administration, with a concentration in Business Law, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico.
